LifeCare T75 Overview The LifeCare T75 Critical Illness plan provides coverage in case you are diagnosed with a specified critical illness. It can be purchased by those 18 to 65. Benefits are payable to you as a one-time, lump sum payment if you are diagnosed with one of the covered critical illnesses or have undergone a covered procedure. Covered critical illnesses are Cancer (Life-Threatening) Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction) Stroke (Cerebrovascular Accident) Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Kidney Failure (End Stage Renal Disease) Major Organ Transplant Aortic Surgery Heart Valve Replacement Blindness Deafness Paralysis Multiple Sclerosis Burns Coma Loss of Speech Loss of Limbs Motor Neuron Disease Alzheimer's Disease Parkinson's Disease Occupational HIV Infection Loss of Independent Existence (as specified in the policy) Standard Benefits Coverage Coverage amounts can range from $25,000 to $2,000,000. Best DoctorsTM If you are diagnosed with a serious medical condition, Best DoctorsTM provides a free list of the best medical specialists in your area, country, or throughout the world. These medical specialists work with local medical staff to better diagnose and treat your medical condition. The services of the Best DoctorsTM professionals are not necessarily free, depending upon provincial and national health insurance plans. But adequate critical illness and life insurance plans will provide much needed cash to pay for the best treatment that money can buy. Best DoctorsTM has a worldwide database of over 50,000 doctors recognized by their peers as the top specialists in their fields of expertise. This benefit is included at no extra cost. Return of Premiums on Death Regardless of your cause of death, if you do not qualify for a claim on your policy, your beneficiary receives a refund of all paid premiums (without interest). This benefit is included at no extra cost. Optional Features Disability Waiver With this benefit, if you become completely and continuously disabled for more than 6 months, your premiums will be paid until you are no longer completely disabled. This benefit ends when you turn 65. This option is available for those 18 to 60. Return Of Premiums at Age 75 Once you turn 75, if your premiums are up-to-date and you have not made a claim on your policy, all of your base premium payments will be returned to you (without interest). Juvenile LifeCare Rider With this rider, all of your eligible children are covered. If one of your children has a critical illness claim, your remaining children are still covered under the Juvenile LifeCare rider. This option can be purchased for your children 0 to 17 years old. You can purchase up to $50,000 or 50% of your adult LifeCare coverage amount, whichever is less. You can only purchase this benefit if you, as the parent, are between 18 and 55. Additional medical information may be needed before your application is approved. Claim Requirements To receive your critical illness benefit, you must survive at least 30 days after you have been diagnosed with a critical illness. If you do not survive the minimum 30-day period, your beneficiary will receive a refund of all base premiums paid (without interest). Payments Premium payments may be made annually, semi-annually, or monthly through automatic banking. Your premium rates will never increase. There is an annual policy fee of $75 and additional policies have an annual fee of $50. |
