CANCELLATION PACKAGE 
Overview
The Secure TravelLink Trip Cancellation
package provides 5 different types of coverage for when you are out of
Canada for business or pleasure. You can purchase this plan without providing
any medical information. Explore the family of Secure TravelLink plans
and purchase the right coverage for you and your family.
Eligibility
This coverage must be purchased within
7 days of booking your trip and before you are aware of any causes for
cancellation. In addition, you must be a resident of Canada and covered
by a Provincial Government Health Insurance Plan for the entire duration
of your trip. If studying abroad, your study period cannot be longer than
30 days during a one-year period. You may pay a premium surcharge to have
this eligibility requirement removed.
Benefits
With the Secure TravelLink Trip Cancellation
package, you receive the following 5 types of coverage.
Meals And Accommodation
If your trip is delayed as the result of an emergency or death (family
member, travelling companion or business associate), this benefit provides
up to $150 a day to a maximum of $1,500 for reasonable meal and accommodation
expenses. Some conditions apply; see your policy for details.
Trip Cancellation, Interruption,
or Delay
An emergency, your death, or the death
of a member of your extended family, travelling companion, business partner
or their extended family, or the death of your host at the trip destination
The issuing of a travel advisory by the Canadian Government for your destination.
This advisory must be issued after this coverage has been purchased
A disaster that renders your principal residence uninhabitable
The quarantine of your residence
A subpoena to appear as a witness or being selected for jury duty.
The cancellation of a prepaid business conference in which you are a registered
delegate by the organizer.
The unforeseeable, involuntary termination of your permanent employment
of at least 1 year, other than self-employment.

Missed Departure
If you miss your scheduled departure because of severe weather conditions,
mechanical breakdown, or an accident involving the vehicle transporting
you to your departure point, this benefit reimburses you up to the coverage
amount you selected when you purchased this plan. This benefit can be
used to purchase the least expensive economy-class fare to connect you
with your group or tour, or to transport you to your final destination.
Claims must be supported in writing by an acceptable independent authority.

Accommodation Upgrade
Cost
If your travelling companion's trip is cancelled for any of the reasons
stated under the Trip Cancellation, Interruption, or Delay benefit, this
benefit covers the difference between single-occupancy as compared to
double occupancy accommodation rates. The maximum reimbursement for this
benefit equals the coverage amount you selected when you purchased this

Stranded Traveller
This benefit provides up to $500 for the cost of a one-way economy class
fare to return you to your departure point if you become stranded because
your personal vehicle is stolen or becomes inoperable due to fire, vandalism,
or collision. Claims must be supported by an official police report. Some
